I think it is important to know this because like in my case, if I had left my worshop without seeing what happened, the chance of having my workshop destroyed by a fire was real! When the CA sets up it is an exothermic reaction, i.e., it gives off heat. The faster the reaction, the heat is given off in a shorter period of time raising the temperatures much higher. The white glue you used apparently had enough moisture, or perhaps it was moisture in the felt, that the CA set up rather rapidly. I think it would have worked if you put the CA on the stick and the white glue on the felt. Ivories: White glue on the key, CA on the ivory.
