"Vapors" From CA Treated Pinblock?

When the CA sets up it is an exothermic reaction, i.e., it gives off heat.
The faster the reaction, the heat is given off in a shorter period of time
raising the temperatures much higher. The white glue you used apparently had
enough moisture, or perhaps it was moisture in the felt, that the CA set up
rather rapidly.

Yes I agree, but what is it that made the felt start burning ?

I think it would have worked if you put the CA on the stick and the white
glue on the felt.

Ivories: White glue on the key, CA on the ivory. Just as thin coating on the
bead and

a bead on the ivory.
