Are you certain it's a new key set? That piano would have had
an accelerated action when new.

The wippens and hammer flanges were probably stiff with verdigris
hence the new parts. Otherwise, if the keys were replaced perhaps
the keys themselves were damaged somehow and the parts were
not salvageable as well.

Who knows...
