RPT's should have to retest every 5-10 years, in my opinion. It could be informal, such as tuning before a chapter meeting for evaluation by members. Either the piano sounds good, or it doesn't. If it doesn't, a formal tuning test should be required to retain RPT status. Also, continuing education should be a requirement, not optional. Problem is, if it's too tough to be an RPT, enrollment decreases, and with it goes PTG income.
