I've had a nursing home resident yell, "Stop that. You don't know what the hell you're doing. Stop i!" Over and over and over ... Another time, same place, a lady rolled up in her wheelchair and kept asking me to play old, old songs. Kept explaining what I was doing and said I'd be happy to play for her when I finished but she ignored that and said, "Okay, I'll sing it for you." She did, too. Loud and long ... Cuckoo clocks are worse than chimes, for some reason. The worst? Crying, screaming very young children ... or high-tension domestic arguments involving spouses or teens. At one nursing home I had a resident who literally cussed me the whole time I was tuning, saying I was a terrible piano player, her son could play better, etc. It was hilarious. When you get to be old whats inside comes out so everyone can see. Better be filling it up with good stuff now.
