Something that is unique to only them. >> I don't know if it is unique, but their windings go in the opposite direction of Mapes. The core wire is also more brittle than other strings I have used. If you flex the string in front of the coil while tightening it up, they will break more easily, ie. they cannot stand much abuse. One thing that is unique, in my experience, is that the strings are cut to proper length when you get them, and all the beckets seem to line up on their own!
