prospecting for customers

Your standard Ma Bell type yellow pages not only requires a phone line but a
business phone (differentiated from a residence phone) which are more
expensive. There are probably directories in which you can simply buy
advertising, but the directories that are distributed by the phone companies
get the broadest circulation and use.

Thats not good Dave. I know Yellow Book will, but their online advertising
isn't very good. I looked into it yesterday. In just six months, their
directory online received less than 100 or a little over 100 hits. Take
that and figure out how many people are looking for a piano tuner. That's
48$ not well spent, or $73 for two cities. Its a life time listing, but wow

not a good return I don' t think. Do you think having a lan line would be
worth it to have an ad? Do yello page listings pull much weight? I imagine

it depends on the area, size etc.
