Bridge notch anomaly morphing into voicing

As David Love said...8 to 10 mm. You have to get down into the shoulder. Don't be afraid of if...I remember a video tape of Jim Coleman on Voicing many years ago where he asked the students to explain voicing. One fellow said..."you take your needle and very carefully insert it in the shoulder". Jim told him he'd have a very long career in voicing...;-] He then went about pummeling the shoulders...

Ric Brekne, sometime back, mentioned 30 stitches in the shoulders on his new hammers is the norm...you got to do it...loosen up the shoulders...

The hammer should be hard from the bottom up to 9:00 am and 3:00 pm...some resiliency from there to 11:30 am and 12:30 am and firm under the strike point. Your 1/16th inchs jabs would be appropriate near the strike point.
