Hi Marcel,
                     Pianotech sells poplar plugs that does the job 
very nicely, also the right size drill bit to ream the old lead holes 
to make a nice fit.   I used to cut my own plugs and found it too 
time consuming.
I you only need a few dozen plugs I can bring them along to Calgary.
