Ted I think mr. farrel has the right idea on this one....the strings probabl=

haven't been stretched or 'aged' enough. Pinblock/flange fit is important fo=
r=20
several reasons but tuning stability is not needfully one of those reasons.=20
For the pinblock to move as much as you indicate vis-a-vis pitch raising suc=
h=20
movement would be obvious, i.e.; pins riding on plate, screws not seated=20
properly, etc.

 There are fewer more stable pianos than the Yamaha and very little attentio=
n=20
is paid to the block/flange fit.=20
But........ they have an excellent tounge and mortise fit to the stretcher=20
and liner blocks.
