Hi Terry,
 
If by "double escapement" you refer to the "repetition spring" linking the jack and the hammer butt, yes.  It is a superb upright all around and sounds and plays better than many a grand!

Is the U-121 action Darrell's double escapement design? I saw that at a recent convention. Pretty impressive.
