O.K. kiddies, here's a puzzler for you: 70's Yamaha Console, just did flange replacement due to bad hammer spring cords. In the process, the hammers were surfaced. The action was cleaned, tightened and lubed. All hammer butt center pins were checked and put into specs. Reinstalled action, did minor regulation to get everything smooth. Adjusted pedals. Tightened Bench.<G>
8 year old pianist complains that certain notes do not make a sound when the sustain pedal is pressed and she is trying to play softly. Checked the piano for this malady. Sure enough, on soft blows with the sustain pedal engaged, many notes do not hit the strings! Hmmmmmm?!!!!!
Whatchathink????
