List,

My old Pocket PC disappeared one morning, and I ended up buying a new one.
Reloaded all of my programs, and I was good to go, or so I thought.

I recalibrated my Tunelab program, but apparently I missed a step in the
process. Turns out that for a week or so, I was tuning customer pianos 5c#!
Crap! And I thought my fork was off!

Fortunately, I did no concert tunings in that period. What prompted the
discovery was that I was scheduled to do a tuning for an orchestra rehearsal.
According to a guitar tuner I checked at one of my jobs, my device was off.
Figured I'd better get A spot on, so I recalibrated it and found my error.
AAAARGH! Totally embarrassing.

I'm not worried about most of the customers, but I did call a teacher who
teaches violin and winds and rescheduled a freebie with him. I did make a note
of the time frame and will not charge for any pitch adjustments related to
this minor debacle.

It pays to check and double check these things sometimes.

Hope you all make it through unscathed in Florida. Best of luck,

Dave Stahl
