Unison slump

We were taught that if you stay on one unison for too long it will never 
tune because the heat generated is going to make it unstable anyway.
Better to move on and come back later; surprisingly though when you do come 
back to that unison, it sounds fine. Occasionally I have the same problem 
with those dastardly unmatched bass bichords. Use the same remedy.
