No, no...I simply never met a Kawai that didn't reek of quality in every way.

It's like tuning 20 Starcks and then coming across one that really wasn't a 
bad piano.   (Yes, this happened.   Some of the old ones aren't bad.)   You 
just have to stand back and take a look at the little critter in front of you for 
a minute.

I'm glad to hear that this model was discontinued.   My reference to Lester 
in the subject line was indicative of my fear that this was what Kawai was up 
to lately.   (I don't tune that many new Kawais, I guess, and this one wasn't 
very old.)
