I've been thinking of making an action model from scratch. Is=
there any info on how to do that...?

I just got a set of Wurzen hammers for my 1867 Chickering 8'=
Grand project. I'm in the final stages of prep before boring,=
coving, tail shaping, etc.....then hanging. As the intent of=
this project is to have the piano sound as it did when new,=
except that it will have all modern action parts and=
 adjustments. I'll keep you posted.
Phew! Building an action from the ground up certainly makes me=
look at actions in a whole new light! The details are sometimes=
overwhelming, but sooooo satisfying as the project progresses.
