What you are refering to is the problem with contaminated felt. The real =
cuprit is chemicals/acid that was not thoroghly removed from the felt. =
(There were a whole bunch of Everett pianos with this problem.) Acetone =
will not remove the problem. It's best to just remove the felt. Don't =
even bother to replace it, as it has no real purpose, IMO.
