Most cabinet shops carry "skins".  That is the type of plywood you want. =
What type of skin doesn't matter that much as it is only the top layer. =
Birch is an expensive cabinet and it might be cheaper to get an oak =
skin. The cabinet shop might sell you a piece so you don't have to order =
a 4' x 8' sheet. Probably be $100 for a sheet of birch. For lumber yard =
plywood CCX is better than CDX and is plugged and sanded on one side. =
About $35 a sheet.
