Hi Mark, Since no one has responded, I'll respond with my very limited experience. I have a little bit of experience with an older Estonia from somewhere around 1994. I thought the tone was pretty though the action left a little bit to be desired (it wasn't bad and may have just needed regulation). I'm almost positive it didn't have the Renner action, but I can't remember checking. From what I recall Estonia didn't get the Renner action until later on. The one time I was in town long enough to notice, it was miserable at holding the tuning. It was tuned one day before I came in town (to perform) and it sounded like it had been tuned 2-4 weeks prior. I touched it up only to find it in the same state the next day. However, it was fairly cold and was experiencing reasonable temperature changes. One thing I found interesting is that all of the plain wire strings were single strings. -- John > Hi folks, > > I have a customer who is considering buying a 1994 Estonia.
