Hi Stephen, The thread ts usually a standard 1/8" pipe thread. However some tips will not work while others will. The problem is in the depth of the thread into the tip head. ABSCO made a lot of tips that were shallow drilled. They would fit their stuff but were not interchangeable with Schaff. Becuase they were not interchangeable we decided to use a better connection and different thread with our new hammers.
