Advice on using powdered Teflon?

I have heard recommending that it be mixed with Protek
lubricant and painted on. Last knuckles I did I mixed
it with Naptha ( not much powder needed ) and painted
it on with a little brush. The leather soaked it up
thirstily and it looked nice and neat afterwards.
