I think in the US it is called collodion. In Europe it is called=20
Colldium.
Collodium is a natural resin in combination with alcohol and ether.
Compare it to nail varnish.

I like it very much because it dries awfully fast. After one hour the=20
treated hammer will begin to "ping".
I always have a small bottle with me and a pipette.

I like the felt/collodium tone better than felt/varnish or felt/plastic.
