---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment =20 Andre Oops. my last post was shootin blanks. =20 Hey I agree with your post 100% Here's an interesting tid bit. I guess about ten years ago or so before=20 gray market was an issue with Yamaha I could get a set of whippens from Yam= .=20 in Buena Park by simply calling & saying Hey I need parts.=20 At the time every body else was getting 450 or so for a set of Renner or=20 Tokiwa whippens. But Yamaha whips were only approx.$190.00. I was happily s= tu nned. Does this tell you any thing about the mark up of these parts we buy. As=20 you say nothing wrong with a profit but once the machines are set up & work= ing=20 these parts are spewed out in great quantiites & with high quality. With=20 Yamaha ,they been churning out parts for decades so I think the R&D cost m= ust=20 have come down a bit by now don't you think? My question. So how much is a set of Yamaha whippens these days? If=20 they'll sell them to you that is? By the way I bought the Yamaha whippens to fit a .............BB Mason&=20 Hamlin? Yep a 1960 & they fit perfectly once the whippen flange rail was made=20 flat. It's still in service at Modesto Junior College. I did that twice.=20 Hmmm. Andre, this..... makes me think about your idea to be creative. As= =20 Jeff Goldblum said in Jurassic Park "Life will find a way"!! Regards to all Dale Erwin =20 ell. Talking about it almost always helps and patience and=20 diplomacy are usually the way to progress. If it is clear that talking, patience and diplomacy will not help, we=20 are forced to dig in and use our ingenuity. That in itself can be very very inspiring! I know........
