Because french people are usually very lazy, and retire from work when =
they are around 60-65.

In fact, some people can retire at 50 or 55 when they have worked at =
least 30 or 40 years. It depends on the job you have, and the advantages =
your job can give you.

The system must be totally different in the US.

I think most people in France don't like their job, so the faster they =
retire, the happier they are.
And I'd be interested in hearing your stories about previous careers =
from today's US techs because in France, most people don't change their =
job during their life.=20

At least it is going to change a little bit now, but the past =
generations always worked in the same field all their life.
