FW: odd bechstein

Hi!

I don't mean that those screws are much help, I just wanted to say that they
are not very likely to weaken the rib with a significant amount. It's also
likely that if the glue fails, the screw is not enough to keep the rib
functioning properly.
Of course it's more expensive to install them than to leave them, and since
they probably don't do much good anyway, they probably are overkill...
I don't remember if the newest Bechsteins still use them or not - I didn't
pay much attention to this when I visited their main showroom in Berlin.
