Hi,
Did you try plucking the string? Also moving the position of the unit, just
a few inches, often helps.
If the mic works fine in tune mode, it is the upper harmonic that the tuner
is listening to that the unit can not read. Sometimes a voicing problem.
Also if your muting strip is too thick it may cause unlevel strings making
for hard readings.
Sometimes just loosening the split rubber mute that I use, clears up the
reading for my SAT
