Hi Jon, My only concern would be that the extra motion from the oscillations would cause the hammer(s) to move too much in the process. How would they be held? Do you do them each individually? How are they held? jeannie Jeannie Grassi, RPT Assistant Editor, Piano Technicians Journal mailto:jcgrassi@earthlink.net -----Original Message----- From: pianotech-bounces@ptg.org [mailto:pianotech-bounces@ptg.org] On Behalf Of Jon Page Sent: Friday, December 02, 2005 5:55 PM To: pianotech@ptg.org Subject: Spindle sander How would an oscillating spindle sander work for filing hammers. I presently use a 1" drum sander for the preliminary resurfacing in the shop. it works well but sometimes produces ridges if the drum gets scored on the staple. -- Regards, Jon Page _______________________________________________ pianotech list info: https://www.moypiano.com/resources/#archives
