Spindle sander

Hi Jon,
My only concern would be that the extra motion from the oscillations would
cause the hammer(s) to move too much in the process.  How would they be
held?  Do you do them each individually?  How are they held?

How would an oscillating spindle sander work for filing hammers.
I presently use a 1" drum sander for the preliminary resurfacing
in the shop. it works well but sometimes produces ridges if the
drum gets scored on the staple.
