wax buildup

Use some naptha, then a plastic cleaner-polish to bring up the shine.  You
can get plastic cleaner from a plastics store, boating supply or auto body
supply.  Meguiar's Mirror Glaze products work well, #10, #17, and/or #18
are what I've used.
