Hi Julie

Pianotek sells a good scale for use with this work. They used to sell
Ohaus scales, and I had mine for several years before I managed to smash
it. I have another on order. They are a bit pricey, but they are very
accurate and stable.

I cross compared with a couple smaller pocket versions and found those
to be not nearly as dependable as advertised. I'd get variances of up to
0.3 grams weighing the same parts sometimes. Other times I'd notice
whilst weighing Strikeweights that they were not sensitive enough to
changes in effective shank length that occure when you put the shank on
the weighing table a mm or two off from center.

Cheers
RicB
