If you want a really delux ETD that does it all for you... then the Verituner is probably the best option. Its multipartial approach utlizes the number crunching capacity of processors in a way no single partial machine can do. A single partial based curve is far from the same approach that the ear pursues, which is really why I use tunelab to reference already tuned notes. Ear tuners want to sort out one coincident at a time.... and you can easily set up Tunelab 97 to create a template that lends itself very easily to providing the exact same kind of information the ear is looking for in a visual and dead on accurate way. When it comes down to it... the only single partial curve you really need (if you are going to use one at all) is for dividing up your temperament segment.
