  Subject: Spoon bender

  Greetings,

Does anyone have trouble with the spoon bending tool to be
flimsy?

I am finding that when I reach back there in the action to bend
the spoon with the thing, I feel something giving way and bending, only to
remove the tool and see that IT ( the tool) bent!!!!!

Also, does anyone have suggestions on how to get all the bends
equal. In 2003 I went to the eastern PTG convention in Pittsburgh, and a
gal, (I think it was Karen Cleveland) gave a damper class where she had this
really cool trick of using a cable/construction tie to hold the damper rod
back while adjusting either the spoons or the wires.

I walked in late in the classroom and didnt fully get the
whole thing. Is anyone familiar with this method and can breifly explain it?
