Hi Terry, The best for me is the small vice grips made by Sears. The ones with layered jaws. You just take out the adjusting bolt and replace it with a bolt as long as you want ( ready bolt can be used ) a little grinding of the new bolt may be needed to match the old one. and some type of slide weight.
