I'd like that kind of sound. In fact one of the biggest challenges in 
voicing is to move the energy from the high partials (the easiest to 
energize) to the lower partials, while not losing overall energy in 
the sound. Resonance vs. brightness. I'd much prefer, once everything 
has been done to maximize the transfer between hammer and string, to 
have as much energy in the low partials as the strings will convey to 
the board, and then nudge the hardness up to taste. For the proper 
amount attack in the mf range without "scraping the ceiling" at the 
fff level. In the end the issue of tone will be redefined, with 
brightness becoming clarity.
