Mandola

A client called me for information about a Mandola grand.  She referred to
it as a baby grand about 5 feet long.  Apparently "everything works" but the
sound is much thinner and tinny compared to her old upright.  Is there
anyone that knows this brand...good points...bad points...etc?  She and the
grand owner have talked about trading pianos after they are appraised by a
technician.
