If it's good for two, why not couple all three?

And why not on bichords?

I attended his class at the Ca convention. Strong attendance by the =
Renner all stars and factory reps.=20
One of the possible uses brought up for this was to stabilize a broken =
wire replacement for a longer time. Such as for the two week interval =
between calls or the second half of a concert. A unison with a coupler =
was detuned until a slight roll could be heard, then the coupler was =
removed. I believe there was almost 3 cents difference between the =
strings. That would mean a coupler could handle a 6 cent change in pitch =
of a wire. Of course the overall pitch of the coupled wire changes =
slightly too.

Curious if anyone has an opinion about the "string coupling" =
technique that was the cover story on last month's Journal. Seemed to me =
that while the coupling might help a tuning seem to last longer, the =
next tuning might be unduly complicated by the coupling. Is anyone doing =
this?
