Marcel - While I'm not entirely clear as to what you are describing, it sounds totally unnecessary in the quest for an esthetic installation. I am proud of the way my installations look, and am able to secure wires with the clips and ties supplied by the company. I have some extras, but, that's it. I wouldn't feel comfortable having the cords in contact with the heating rod. Even if it isn't enough to melt the insulation, it could accelerate its drying out.
