Hi Jim, There is a definite difference. I used to repair electronic organs. I ran a across a Hammond, that someone had tried to free up with WD40, and it had really had seized up. I eventually got it running, and it took 2 weeks, of the proper lubrication, and letting it run. When I first started it, it would run, and stop. The time getting longer and longer. I think I read on the MITA list, a long time ago that turbo or transmission oil could be used. I am not sure if I am remembering correctly. I would recommend that only Hammond oil be used.
