Does the soundboard of a Bechstein grand from 1864 have crowning?

MessageNewer Bechsteins should have crown, but I'm not so sure that the =
really old ones were supposed to have it as well. We need an expert =
opinion here, since old pianos are generally full of surprises.
I'd like to see the piano too if you have pictures.

  The soundboard should have positive crown - remember to measure =
between all ribs.

  If it does not, replace it.

  How did the piano sound before being torn apart? Is it straight =
strung?

  Any pictures to share?
