Crusty?  That reminds me of the time I followed a someone who had used =
fingernail polish on hammers.  (The polish was clear--at least he wasn't =
making a fashion statement.)  It left a crusty, sparkling(!) =
surface.......Fortunately it was thick enough that it didn't soak in =
very deep and I was able to file most of if off!  :-) =20

then dotting the stike points. The crowns were almost crusty.  I =
pictured surface snow on a spring morning.  Whatever hardener was used =
