Hi Elwood, The brass on the inside of the tube has turned green as brass will do. Most likely a little heat on the outside wall of the tube with some Goose Juice applied first. The heat should be applied from the ends to the center to encourage the oil to follow into the space between the tubes, like soldering. In brass instrument repair, they try the puller first, then a little heat if that does not work. I have even used an electric shavind devise as a vibrator to get the oil inbetween the two slides when all else failed. Took a few days and applying oil often.
