Terry,
No,no,no,no! What are you measuring? The water around the glue pot or the
Glue!!????? You need to put the thermometer IN the Glue! There will be as
much as a 20 degree difference between the two!
In answer to Kerry's post: 1. Aluminum is the worst pot, to try and clean
and keep clean.  A switch to copper or glass would be much better! 2. I've
done experiments with "Pearl Glue". It is, IMO, a substandard glue! Get the
good stuff: sometimes known as Flake Glue, Cabinet Makers Glue or The High
Grade Ground Glue.
To reiterate: 72 Hours DUMP IT!
