How do you get them to shut the #%$@ up?

I once wrestled with a thrashed Baldwin "L" in a room next to the 
auditorium/gym where "Godspell" was being rehearsed through a highly amplified PA system. 
 If I ever hear "Day by Day" again, I'll break out in hives.
