Rocket Science?

Hey Ron,

I had to smile when I read you post. And it *does* make sense from the
client's point of view. Though I am just getting back to pianos after a 6
1/2 year maternity leave, I do remember what I used to say to customers when
I would make the initial appointment: "I do my best work in a quiet
environment," or "The quieter it is when I'm working, the better." Then
after that, the customer would get the reminder card from me for the next
appointment which also included, "P.S. Please remember, I can do a better
job in quiet surroundings."

I'm not saying it always worked, because, well, people hear, read, or
understand what they want! (And sorry, it doesn't take care of the
neighbors.)

PS I was on staff at a university during heavy construction....you know
that beep trucks make when they're backing up? :)
