Steinway K Double flange

I have one of these also that I will be redoing in the future. I'm
tentatively planning on modifying the hammer flange rail (or just make a new
rail) so that I can use standard separate hammer butt flanges and damper
flanges. You would just need to be sure to keep the damper and butt center
pins in the same location in space as original (assuming they were in a good
place to begin with). I don't think it will be too terribly hard. But yes,
then you would want to buy new parts.

And no doubt at all - easier said than done!   ;-)
