Assuming the Stuart has indeed eliminated (more likely minimized (if that)) 
this transition, the Wapinized unison supposedly has an even more 
pronounced transition from vertical to horizontal than is observed in more 
conventional pinning. Both claim that the string action specific to their 
bridge termination is the secret of their superior tone and sustain. With 
both Yin and Yang claiming superiority by the same criteria, in opposing 
directions, maybe the best approach is a combination of the two. A nice 
elliptical string excursion path should be better than either primarily 
horizontal, or primarily vertical, since it has the benefits of both - right?
