Hi Joey, The Peterson 490-ST is a poor tool in comparison with many other tuning devices. The problem is the "built in stretch" which will never match a piano except by accident. Have a look at Verituner, Accutuner for 'stand alone" and Reyburn Cyber tuner and Tunelab Pro for "laptop" tuning software. Tunelab pro is "try before you buy". http://www.tunelab-world.com/tlp.html Do also use a self correcting temperament such as the Baldassin-Sandeson. http://www.accu-tuner.com/pdfs/Manual_54.doc.pdf ===== Regards, Don Rose, B.Mus., A.M.U.S., A.MUS., R.P.T. 3004 Grant Rd, Regina, SK, S4S 5G7 Tuner for the Saskatchewan Centre of the Arts http://us.geocities.com/drpt1948/ __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
