Perhaps, or from the a line centered between the center of the panel and 
the center of the rib. The underside of the panel measurement represents 
the most information for the least effort and guesswork. It's an indicator, 
not an absolute. There are still too many variables you can't measure 
directly to split hairs too fine on any one. The underside of the panel 
measurement also has everyone talking about the same thing, which is a 
never ending problem.
