Piano Metal Recycling

Unfortunately, Terry, I have only been able to
put it in the "mixed scrap" pile at the recyclers,
where I was paid a flat rate per pound, and the copper
content "don't mean jack".
I got a few bucks for a pile of busted up plates.
Frankly, considering that the place stank and the
reek of rotting cars, old sewer pipes, slaughterhouse
equipment, etc. got up my nose and into my upholstery,
lingering for days..... it just wasn't worth it!
But I am a religious recycler, so now I take all to a
tire store/auto repair shop. Key leads go in the wheel
weight barrel, and all else goes in the old car parts
heap. I get a warm glow knowing that some poor Joe who
picks it up free will make a few cents.
     Thump

P.S. I suppose you could build a "string unwinder" if
you really wanted to go through the trouble!
