Yep. Though I make my plugs out of like materials as much as possible. For 
instance I don't use a multi layer plug in a five layer block, etc. I have 
several old, but solid blocks laying around that I keep just for such 
thingees.

p.s. I have never plugged an entire block...though mechanically it probably 
would be fine given a solid old block to be plugged....seems like it would be 
faster to just replace the block with new.....I suppose it depends on the 
circumstances, etc??
