Friends, A piano-tuner beginner was trying to explain something to me she found in an old Baldwin upright. If I understood the description correctly, the bass string hitch pins were in wood rather than the cast iron plate. Was there ever anything like this? I haven't seen the piano. Apparently the wood is all split up. My hunch was she's talking about the bass bridge, but she said where the string ends at the loop. Responses? Regards, Clyde
